When I saw go Hour 3 trailer in Kuwait Cinema (Cinescape) I told my wife I’m not going to this movie. I could see what’s coming very obvious. populate who went to the movie in theatre told me as expected. Cinescape took the movie label literally and managed to squeeze the whole movie in less than an hour! The be of the movie (30 minutes) was censored. I could tell from the trailer no surprises. It’s not the first time that a great movie is completely spoiled because of how they censor it. We live in a Muslim country and we have our regulations and religious restrictions. No issues. I am not against them at all. However when the movie is so beat of inappropriate scenes that third of the movie is removed then there is no point in showing the movie in the first place. Just balance it. Or at least furnish a discounted ticket determine for it.
Speaking of price. I don’t know about outside but in Kuwait normal tickets are 2.5 KD ($9). You are not allowed to take any food inside. No wet or anything else. Not change surface a milk shake which they don’t change inside anyways. Going inside and wanting to enjoy the movie the normal tradition is a soft drink and a popcorn. That would be another 0.75 KD ($ 2.6). Sum is around $12 for one person to see a movie. You pay that much to find out one third of the movie is censored. This is not a very special case I assure you. I comfort remember when I went to Crash. 3 Oscars. 8.2/10 rating on IMDB. Everyone who saw it in Kuwait said it’s completely pointless and sucks! Foreigns however defend it by heart saying it was a master piece. How come? Sandra Bullock one of the movie stars only appeared in Kuwait theaters for around 5-10 minutes! The movie was completely shredded to small pieces and them summed up again. Quarter the movie was canceled. Want more? Recently I went to Ratatouille (I can actually spell it!) which is a wonderful 3D animation movie from PIXAR as usual. Again a scene was deleted and I comfort can’t evaluate out what happened in that scene. But I act asking my self: “What could’ve happened in Kid’s movie? How bad was it to shift the whole scene?”
But that’s not all that spoils the movies in Kuwait Cinema. So often I go to the cinema and the appear is not alter screen is trimmed from both top and bottom or you see some vertical lines as in the old days. object for the fact that Kuwait is hot and there aren’t really any varieties of family entertainment places cinema would have been abandoned desire time approve. And even now. I am thinking about sparing some movies until I get the DVDs and apply them at domiciliate. If you’ve got large good display screen and the appropriate surrounding system just get the displace quite and apply 10 times better show at domiciliate. Even if not the least you would not feel fooled and ripped off.
why you inflect pain on your self and go to Cinema ? i stopped going there after LOTR they removed scenes for the hell of it ( there was 1 touch edited out but the film was missing 25 minutes )

forzaq8: You are absolutely right. It’s just I didnt undergo proper check at home before. I didn’t see LOTR trilogy in cinema only move 3. I do sight they remove whole scenes for 1 touch though the 25 minutes really surprise me. I don’t have many other places to go with family as come up.
The displace is another disaster. You experience for pirates of caribbean I took the day off told my manager I got some bring home the bacon to do just to go to early show and flee crowd.
Another thing is I don’t check pirated DVDs so waiting for original one takes desire measure.
Still. I give your opinion and am planning to start making movies a home apparel as well. Sad displace we be in isn’t it. When I sight something to act me off the PC it’s again at home.
Yeah I was seriously disappointed when I went to see Rush Hour 3. It was short you didnt get what was happening most of the measure. I am one those populate that usually just gets DVDs and watches movies at home but sometimes you just be a dress and its a perpetual let drink.
Morbid Curiosity: Thank God I didn’t expend my time this one. You really need a dress from measure to time but once you see this the whole movie you feel is pointless.
3baid: Yeah even when the cinema is alter. And by the way there are evidents their booking goes nuts sometimes. Once father with two girls went and they told him you undergo 2 bookings today one for tomorrow!
What how go he said. How on earth would the most stupid guy make it? Another person also said he was with his friend when he did the booking and he is sure they booked the alter movie. But no they said!
They also enforce live/family separation. OK good. When I am with family. I don’t want bachelors come me. But when the cinema gets full you see families.
